About Sauge Minérale
Teinte 17, Sauge Minérale, stands clearly apart from its green neighbours. In the photo, the dominant colour is a khaki green shot through with grey and brown, almost earthy, with sharper flashes of blue green breaking through the surface here and there. This interplay of tones, typical of zellige shaped by hand in Fez, gives each tile an almost mineral identity, closer to a weathered stone than a smooth ceramic. Where Eucalyptus Pâle stays light and hazy, Sauge Minérale carries a denser, more matte depth, with reflections that shift noticeably from tile to tile. This shade fits naturally into interiors looking for character: a feature wall, a splashback, a bathroom floor, where it brings living texture rather than a flat colour. It pairs well with raw materials, dark wood, aged brass, stone. Sold by the plaque or made to measure, in several formats, it carries, like every handmade zellige shade, the surface and tone irregularities that make up its value.
Pairs well with
- Artisanal zellige handmade in Fès, Morocco.
- Each tile is unique - variations in shade, texture and dimensions (±2mm) are inherent to the artisanal process.
- These imperfections are the mark of the product's authenticity.
