About Argile Douce
Argile Douce, tint 5, is the softest and warmest of the three pinks in this family: a light rose terracotta, almost apricot, close to raw clay. The surface stays even from tile to tile, with slight shifts of hue and the fine surface irregularities that come from hand shaping, the signature of handmade zellige rather than a flaw. Under raking light it brightens with orange glints; in soft light it turns more muted and powdery. Next to Pêche Minérale, which leans grey, and Terre Rosée, which runs deeper, Argile Douce is the lightest and most enveloping of the rose trio. It suits bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks and accent walls where a quiet warmth is wanted rather than sharp contrast. Available in several formats, sold by the plaque or made to measure, it works equally well as a continuous countertop surface or paired in a checkerboard with a neighbouring tint.
