About Basalte Brut
Shade 36, Basalte Brut, marks a turning point in the Dark Minerals family: it tips from gray toward black. Each handmade Fes zellige tile shows a more reflective surface than Gris Graphite, catching the light in places. From tile to tile, the differences are clear: some stay a slate gray, others shift toward a deep black, giving the laid surface a marked, uneven, lively play of contrast. This variation makes it a shade with character, best reserved for spaces that can carry contrast well, such as a full bathroom wall, a kitchen backsplash that becomes the room's focal point, or a dark, enveloping shower. Next to the more matte, more uniform Gris Graphite, or the deeper, more even Noir Absolu, Basalte Brut is recognizable by its marked contrast between lighter and darker tiles. It is available in several formats, sold by the tile or made to measure.
