About Terracotta Vieillie
Terracotta Vieillie, tint 8, opens the terracotta side of this family with a weathered finish: a muted rose-mauve, almost greige in places, crossed by tiles that run redder or more rust-toned. It is the most variable tint in the family, each plaque mixing several shades like a wall that has lived through seasons of weather. The grain, more pronounced than on the pinks, catches a matte light that changes little through the day, giving the surface a settled, almost mineral quality. It stands apart from Terre Rosée, cleaner and pinker, by starting the shift toward red while keeping an earthy restraint. This patina suits an interior looking for depth without shine: a hallway, a library wall, a worktop meant to age gracefully. Available in several formats, sold by the plaque, and available made to measure.
Pairs well with
- Artisanal zellige handmade in Fès, Morocco.
- Each tile is unique - variations in shade, texture and dimensions (±2mm) are inherent to the artisanal process.
- These imperfections are the mark of the product's authenticity.
