Acajou Bruni closes the Solaires family on a darker note: a deep, almost mahogany brown that ranges from a rich chestnut to darker patches close to burnt hazelnut. The surface, glossy in places, catches the light in small flashes and reveals, depending on the angle, reddish undertones beneath the dominant brown. From one slab to the next, the contrast between lighter and much darker tones builds a living wall, far from a flat, even colour. This play of shadow, a result of hand shaping in Fez, clearly sets Acajou Bruni apart from the other three Solaires, which lean more yellow or more orange: here the colour sits closer to fine wood and worn leather. Used on a fireplace surround, a shaded patio floor, or as an accent in an already bright room, this shade adds depth and strong contrast.
