About Grenat Profond
Grenat Profond, tint 9, is the darker of the two reds in this family: a velvety garnet red, almost burgundy in places, deepening to dark brown in the shadowed corners of each tile. The slightly satiny surface catches light unevenly, a brighter glint here, a tile that stays matte and muted there. These shifts, born from piece-by-piece hand shaping, give a large wall surface a depth that never reads as a flat colour. Next to Rouge Impérial, brighter and more even, Grenat Profond is the hushed, wine-toned red rather than the flame-toned one. It suits an accent wall, a shower niche or a piece of furniture front where a red that commands attention without shouting is wanted. Available in several formats, sold by the plaque, and available made to measure for the most exacting projects.
